IELTS Exam: “Fancy IELTS?”
Learning languages is like a one-way ticket: you either use it or lose it.
You can take this avenue if it’s right up your street, but you should take it with a pinch of salt. I was 7 years old when I first started learning English as a schoolboy. Now, in my late thirties, I know for sure that you can’t learn a language overnight, it takes a lifetime to master it. However, if you need to sit the IELTS exam soon, you’d like to learn all the nitty-gritty before you give it your best shot. And I am here to help you out.
So, let me explain what you need to know about IELTS without further ado.
1) IELTS is a great chance to prove your level of English, which means that your own level of English should be rather high to get a high IELTS score.
So, it’s only natural for you to start spending more time practicing English, be it watching BBC news blocks or reading English newspapers.
2) IELTS is a special exam with its own rules and requirements.
You can visit the official IELTS site for further info, however, an IELTS teacher is required to lend you a helping hand. There are quite a few IELTS sites on the net, but you will need a pro to sort out the information (e.g. most of the IELTS model answers available on the net are aimed at bands 6.0-6.5, so they are not good enough for teaching purposes).
3) IELTS is a wonderful pastime.
This exam contains all aspects of English, the so called modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. So your IELTS preparation won’t be a waste of time and money, because you will not only get ready for the exam but also improve your English.
4) IELTS is just the beginning.
It’s about your future life achievements (getting a promotion at work, studying abroad, or migrating to another country). It’s also a chance to meet new friends, both in class and in life.
So join our IELTS groups and take the most of it!
